Amy S. Walden
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

As co-founder of Walden Security, Amy Walden began her career in law enforcement while attending the University of Tennessee.  After serving three years as dispatcher with the Chattanooga police department; Amy, with her husband Michael, started Metropolitan Security, known today as Walden Security.

As Chairman and CEO for Walden Security, Amy oversees all financial aspects of the company, and her responsibilities include reviewing and reporting company financial information, key performance metrics, cash flows, staff utilization and financial statements.

Professionally, Amy is a member of the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce and National Association of Security Companies – NASCO. She is also a sustaining member of the Junior League of Chattanooga and is an active volunteer at her daughter’s school.  Amy is active in the community and supports various local charities and organizations, such as the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, the Mary Ellen Locker Center, and the American Heart Association. 

Michael S. Walden, CPP
President

As co-founder and President of Walden Security, Michael Walden has focused on building a solid company infrastructure by investing in innovative programs for the most important asset of Walden Security, its employees.  His philosophy, “people do business with people, not companies,” is at the core of his sincere approach that emphasizes providing quality protective service above all else. The role of the company president is one of active involvement and daily interaction with leaders within our organization.  Michael Walden oversees new customer transitions to Walden Security and works to constantly improve the level of service received by our customers.

Michael is active in the local community and is recipient of numerous professional awards, such as Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) Member of the Year, Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce Small Business Person of the Year, Sam Walton Business Leadership Award and Mass Mutual – Blue Chip Enterprise Initiative Award.  He was recently selected as a finalist for Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

A Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Michael is active in various professional organizations, such as American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS), Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce, BOMA, and National Association of Security Companies (NASCO).

Curtis Casey, CPA
Senior Vice President Finance, Chief Financial Officer

As chief financial officer, Curtis Casey directs all financial affairs and fiscal operations of Walden Security.  He manages the functions and activities of financial reporting, planning and analysis, accounting, treasury, and budgets.  He partners with the executive team on strategic decision making and manages professional relationships with lenders and audit and tax accounting firms. 

Curtis Casey holds a B.A. in Accounting and is a licensed CPA.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Michael E. Compton

Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer

As chief administrative officer, Michael (Mike)Compton has management responsibilities over the operations activities for Walden Security to include procurement, personnel, equipment, real estate and corporate planning.  He oversees all staff and service functionsof the company, working closely ensure the quality experience is delivered to our clients and that we exceed our service commitment wherever possible. 

Prior to joining Walden Security, Mike Compton was vice president of Corker Group Inc. for more than 20 years, where he oversaw the acquisition and management of commercial real estate and investments including high-rise office buildings and retail shopping centers.  Mike also served as chief of staff for the City of Chattanooga, TN from 2001-2005. 

Mike attended Southeastern Louisiana University and the University of Southern California and attained a Certified Shopping Center Manager (CSM) designation from the International Council of Shopping Centers in 1984.

Kim Hunt                                                         
Vice President, Risk Management

With more than sixteen years of experience as independent property and casualty insurance broker, Kim Hunt joined Walden Security in 2002 as Vice President of Risk Management and is responsible for all aspects of property and casualty insurance and risks. 

A certified insurance counselor through Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters, Kim graduated from Aetna’s PRIME agent program and is trained in property, casualty, life, and health insurance.

Telky Murphy, PHR

Vice President, Human Resources

Telky Murphy joined Walden Security in early 2008 as director of human resources and was promoted to vice president in 2009.  In this role, she is responsible for overseeing local, regional and corporate human resources departments. Her experience working with large, diverse hourly workforces provides her with the knowledge to positively impact operations by addressing Walden Security employees’ most important concerns.

Telky Murphy came to Walden Security from GSI Commerce, Inc. where she managed the human resources department for multiple functions in several locations, in a multi-state, multi-client environment.  Her background is focused on talent acquisition and retention, associate relations, compensation administration, performance management, benefits, safety and workers compensation.

Telky graduated summa cum laude from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN with a B.A. in Psychology.  She holds a M.S. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.  She is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). 

Lauren S. Tudor                                         
Vice President, Marketing and Communications

As vice president of marketing and communications for Walden Security, Lauren Tudor develops corporate sales and marketing strategy, executes plans for market expansion, oversees internal and external communications, directs the usage and evolution of the corporate brand, and administers the company’s web-based Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application. She also serves on the Walden Security Quality Management steering committee.

Before joining Walden Security in 2004 as director of marketing, Lauren worked for an Atlanta-based creative services agency, where she led the development of Walden Security’s corporate brand, oversaw design and production of the company’s sales and marketing collateral and directed the design of waldensecurity.com. For nine years prior to that, Lauren held business development and account management positions in advertising and marketing where she specialized in the planning and execution of strategic growth plans of small and mid-sized businesses.

Lauren holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in small business management and entrepreneurship from Kennesaw State University. She is a member of the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP).

Dick Wong

Vice President, Federal Services Division

As vice president of Federal Services, Dick Wong brings nearly 30 years of military law enforcement and security management experience in U.S. and international operations.  He has expertise at the strategic level in anti-terrorism/force protection programs, process improvement, vulnerability assessments, force protection policies and plans, and managing armed security guard operations. 

While in the military, Dick Wong served in various strategic level organizations that allowed him the opportunity to acquire a board spectrum of the security and force protection experiences.  As a Program Manager, Force Protection Analysis Cell within a major Army organization, Dick Wong managed execution of the organization’s force protection program that encompassed an operational area of 27 countries throughout the Middle East and former Soviet Republic states. Dick’s other major military assignments included Chief, Security and Law Enforcement Policies and Programs, Headquarters, United States Army Forces Command; Provost Marshal (Chief of Police) at Fort Riley, KS; and Executive Assistant to the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Installations, Logistics, and Environment at the Pentagon. 

Dick’s work in the private sector as a Senior Lead Management Analyst for Management Analysis, Incorporated, further his experience in the security and force protection program. 

Dick Wong earned a bachelor’s degree in criminology from Florida State University, a master’s degree in administration from Central Michigan University, and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy.
