ASIS – American Society for Industrial Security – With more than 33,000 members, ASIS is the preeminent international organization for professionals responsible for security, including managers and directors of security, dedicated to studying changing security issues and solutions.
BBB - Better Business Bureaus – Members of local BBBs are businesses and firms which meet tough BBB membership standards, agree to follow the highest principles of business ethics and voluntary self-regulation, and have a proven record of marketplace honesty and integrity.
BOMA – Building Owners and Managers Association – The premier real estate advocacy association, BOMA is an international federation of 107 worldwide organizations dedicated to providing knowledge and solutions to commercial real estate practitioners.
DHS – Department of Homeland Security – This federal department was established to provide a central base for the network of organizations and institutions working to preserve American freedoms and to protect against and respond to threats and hazards to the nation.
ICSC – International Council of Shopping Centers – ICSC is the global trade association of the shopping center industry. Its 44,000 members in the U.S., Canada, and more than 70 other countries work together to advance the development of the shopping center industry.
ISO - International Organization for Standardization – A network of national standards institutes from 148 countries working in partnership with the public and private sectors, ISO promotes industry-wide standardizations to benefit business and the broader needs of society.
NASCO – National Association of Security Companies – NASCO represents the major national and regional contract providers of security officer services. The members employ more than 300,000 security officers nationwide, protecting 85 percent of the nation’s critical infrastructure.
NCISS – National Council of Investigation and Security Services – NCISS is a cooperative effort of companies and associations responsible for providing private security and investigation services to the business community, government, and the public.
TSA - Transportation Security Administration- TSA's mission is to protect the nation’s transportation systems by ensuring the freedom of movement for people and commerce. In February 2002, TSA assumed responsibility for security at the nation’s airports and by the end of the year had deployed a federal work force to meet challenging Congressional deadlines for screening all passengers and baggage.
