Walden Security Earns Fifth Consecutive National Award for Training

March 23, 2022

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Walden Security recently earned a Training APEX award from Training magazine for the fifth consecutive year for its employee orientation and training programs. This year, Walden Security was the only security company in the nation to receive the award. The company ranked 32nd out of 95 organizations, climbing three spots since 2021.

For three consecutive years, Walden Security also received achievement awards from Training magazine for its innovative and successful learning and development programs and practices. Most recently, the company won the 2021 Outstanding Training Initiative award for The Walden Way virtual orientation program. In just over two months, the team converted the program to a live, virtual, classroom-style program to combat the social distancing challenges posed by the global pandemic.

“Walden Security has a strong culture of helping every employee fulfill their potential, and being recognized for the fifth year in a row reflects that,” Walden Security Director of Learning & Development Jason Crowe said. “One of our core philosophies is, ‘If you’re not serving the customer, your job is to serve someone who is.’ Being able and willing to support each other is a direct factor in our success as a company. From the student to the trainer, and from our managers to our executive team, we all have a role in the successful training of our employees.”

Walden Security recently doubled its Learning & Development team to provide ongoing support to the company’s growth.

Training magazine’s Training APEX award is the only program that ranks companies “unmatched in harnessing human capital”, recognizing organizations that champion training and employee development tied to corporate strategic goals and business impact.

Training APEX winners are determined by assessing a range of qualitative and quantitative factors, including financial investment in employee development, the scope of development programs, how closely such development efforts are linked to business goals and objectives, and their effectiveness in terms of business impact.

“We salute these best-in-class organizations for their laser-focused commitment to learning and development, their brilliance in continuing to successfully deliver training despite the ongoing pandemic, and their unwavering belief that Training Matters—and not only can it change the world, but transform it,” said Training Magazine Editor-in-Chief Lorri Freifeld.

A ranked listing of the 2022 Training APEX award winners is available in the digital March 2022 issue of Training Magazine.
